Falmouth, Mass., February 6, 2015 – The National Graduate School of Quality Management is pleased to announce the establishment of the NGS Alumni Association (NGSAA). The purpose of the NGSAA is to create a unified, informed, and engaged body of alumni who collectively involve themselves with the interests and activities which perpetuate the NGS vision or in promoting the body of knowledge related to quality management.
The mission is to foster the NGS experience and the bond between the alumni and their College on a global basis, and to promote the principles and traditions of NGS, which include excellence, continuous improvement, and transformative leadership. Dr Harold L Gilmore has been appointed as the Director of the NGS AA and will report directly to the President, Dr R. Clinton Miner. Dr. Gilmore brings to this position over three decades of experience as a quality practitioner, educator, consultant, and author. He is an American Society for Quality Board of Directors Fellow, and holds the lifetime rank and status of Professor Emeritus at the Charlton College of Business, UMass/Dartmouth. Dr. Gilmore continues to be a thought-leader in higher education through his ongoing involvement in numerous higher education associations.
“We are excited about providing our alumni a formally constituted association and governance structure that will promote professional networking, shared experiences, and help shape the future of NGS. NGS is fortunate to have someone of Dr. Gilmore’s experience leading this important initiative,” said Dr Miner.
Dr Gilmore will guide the implementation of the organizational framework outlined in the NGS bylaws in appointing alumni leadership to move the Association development forward.
