On January 26, 2017, at the closing of the annual OPEX Week 2017 Summit, Dr. Brandon was announced as the Program Director of the Year. Dr. Brandon is the Director of the Army Continuous Process Improvement Program Office in the Office of the Under Secretary of the Army, Business Transformation Office. The ARMY CPI Program was also recognized as the Program of the Year.
The Operational Process Excellence Award is a globally recognized, annual industry award, which honors and celebrates organizations, teams and individuals who have exceeded industry standards in their Operational Process Excellence initiatives delivering breakthrough and extraordinary results for their organization and the world.
This is the 18th year for the annual awards program and is the first time a Department of Defense organization has won either award.
The recognition of the Army’s CPI Program highlights the significant efforts made by over 1,500 Army Process improvement practitioners across 44 organizations working diligently toward being good stewards of the taxpayers trust, and providing our commander’s and service members with the best and most efficient support to enable effective mission accomplishment.
Dr. Brandon is a graduate of S.R. Butler High School and Alabama A&M University. He holds advanced degrees from the American Intercontinental University, Northwestern University, and the National Graduate School of Quality Management where he also serves as an adjunct professor.
