Falmouth, Mass., October 29, 2015 –National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS) Alumna, Dr. Kitty Lee, received the President’s Medallion award from Dr. Clint Miner, President and CEO of NGS, for outstanding achievement in her place of work and significant contributions to NGS at an Alumni Reception and Awards Presentation on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Marriott Renaissance Capital View hotel in Arlington, VA.
Upon receiving her award, Ms. Lee gave an emotional speech crediting the NGS Doctor of Business Administration program for changing her life and thanking her mentor, Mr. Vern Mann, for encouraging and supporting her effort to receive a doctorate.
The evening also featured networking opportunities for NGS alumni, faculty, and friends from the DC area. Dr. Antwanya Herbert, President of the NGS Alumni Association, spoke to the crowd about the developments of the newly formed Alumni Association, including the creation of a new mentoring program and future activities and Dr. Miner spoke about the future of the school, including the fact that the Fall 2015 enrollment was one of the largest in school history.
Dr. Harold Gilmore, Director of the Alumni Association, said “The event was a great success! I appreciate the participation of the alumni that were in attendance and I am looking forward to the next one.”
